One of the earliest examples of Mondo’s all-star talent, Laurent Durieux has already delivered some of the Hall of Fame, classic alternative movie posters in previous collaborations with the Austin gallery. From his legendary rendition of Jaws (one of the only in a big sea of attempts with no shark portrayed) to his Hitchcock series, a poster by Durieux is bold, exciting and different.
That’s why this upcoming gallery show, The Art of Lauren Durieux, Part 2, is so exciting. We’re getting a bunch more to add to the collection. Opening this weekend (November 9-11), we have already seen some stunning takes on Kubrick classics like The Shining and Apocalypse Now, as well as the one that got Jason’s heart pumping, Planet of the Apes.
Which prints will join that legendary status of his takes on The Master or Rear Window? We’re going to find out.
