After several average installments of the Marvel / Netflix partnerships (we’re looking at you Iron Fist and second half of Luke Cage), we’re finally getting more of Alias Private Investigations.
Announced on Twitter with a simple trailer, Jessica Jones is officially receiving a Season 2, courtesy of the suits at Netflix. to the Marvel Netflix series. Not much is shown in terms of plot, but Krysten Ritter is definitely back, delivering a quick Spider-Man reference and a few scenes of straight-forward badassery. (There is, unfortunately, no sign of Mike Colter’s Luke Cage, but here’s to hoping a few Defenders pop up throughout the second season.)
Our only hint for plot development lies with the line “knowing what was done to you”, letting us assume we might be getting more of a backstory to her powers (than was already shown in Season 1). But, really, at this point we’re just glad Jessica Jones is back … coming to our streaming queue (relatively soon) on March 8, 2018.
